Welcome to MagicTranslate
Welcome to MagicTranslate! This is a magical translation engine independently developed by a university student. It uses a hybrid tuning method that combines the current leading large language model and traditional translation model.
Traditional vs. Large Models
Traditional translation engines are deterministic, with a fixed translation for a given source text. Even if they make mistakes, they do so in a "very regular" way. The output of a large language model is based on token prediction, which is a stochastic process. Therefore, the output of a large language model is random, unpredictable, and uncontrollable.
Potential of Large Models
Large language models have been proven to have great potential for translation tasks, but if they are simply tuned through a layer of prompts, the actual effect is generally average and very dependent on the baseline level of the model itself. The currently recognized more effective Agents translation or multi-step reflective translation methods are very expensive in terms of tokens, and are not an ideal choice in terms of speed or cost.

The emergence of MagicTranslate is the hope that some prompt word engineering and other flexible translation task enhancement methods can be combined to achieve the magical effect of LLM "translating once and no need to touch up".
